The Kyle P McAuliffe Award for Nursing

This award is available to a NY resident, Full-Time Nursing Students for one academic year. The Kyle P. McAuliffe Award for Nursing was established by the family in June 2022 in memory of Kyle McAuliffe, a graduate of Skaneateles High School and an incoming student at Onondaga Community College at the time of his unexpected death. Kyle was a believer in truth and justice and often advocated for others who could not advocate for themselves. He was excited to begin nursing school at OCC in the Fall of 2022, where he planned to “be the change” needed to heal the broken aspects of the healthcare system. Kyle loved nature and animals, music, art, antique watches, history, and literature. He was a poet and philosopher who enjoyed engaging in discourse about all manner of things. With his gentle soul, he connected with others easily and was a natural and gifted healer.
